You either are going to sink or swim so swim.  The other thing she ingrained in me learn to type you will never starve and always get a job granted she was from a different era; however, my ability to type fast has served me well in this multi tasking world!  Thanks Mom!!!

Being an older member I can relate that I lost my mom a number of years ago and the day doesn't go by that I don't miss here and her wisdom.  Out of all the things she impressed on me over the years was that you should always FINISH WHAT YOU START!.

The best....hmmm....my mom is gone now, but when I was old enough to understand, she said "Be nice to everyone you meet".  As an adult when I would occasionally utter a mild profanity, she would always say "David, don't swear, it sounds like hell".

Well, Im not sure you would call it good advice, BUT, when I was a teenager, my Momma told me that preperation H was good for acne! So me and a friend snuck into the bathroom and tried it....all I can say Is NOPE! didnt work!! But my Momma ( that at 70 yrs now) still has a wonderful sense of humor, and still gets a joke on me yet!

Life is NOT fair and it's not for the faint of heart. In order to enjoy life you must jump in with both feet and make things happen!

This best advice I ever got from my mom is...."go put on some lipstick and brush your hair.  If you look up, you will feel up!" It may sound funny, but it really is true.  If you look depressed, you will feel depressed.  I think of my mom's advice every time I go to deal with a tough client and it explains my obsession with lip gloss and lipstick!

Be yourself...don't try to be anything that someone else wants you to be.  Be the best you can be and let people choose whether they will like you for who you are.
