This Week's Sales Tip: There's a little trick to leaving messages ... A simple little concept that is sure to get your prospecting calls returned the same day.
When you are trying to reach a prospect for an initial appointment, leave your name, number and the following line ... "I have a report that states the top three reasons why people choose a family dentist (or any other business category) and I'd like to share the report with you one day next week."
This information is readily available with a quick Google search. Once you find the top three reasons, drop them in a folder and you'll never need to research them again. Your local Dentist, Attorney or Financial Planner won't be able to resist learning the top three reasons and they will return your calls.
This sure beats saying, "I'd like to stop in and learn a little more about your business." This prospecting tool works ... Try it out and let me know how it works for you!

I have success in return calls when I tell them, that if I don't hear back I will assume they want to be part of the promotion and include them in it. Of course this only works if I have a relationship with my customer. It's does guarantee a call back and then I at least get an opportunity to tell them about it. I've never had anyone be mad at me for "assuming".
