I have a couple of questions prompted by our program director.  Each year during the holidays we trot out a handful of programs that we run every year.  Some of them hold up well but our programmer has had a tough time finding any new source material.

In particular he is looking for something that would run well on our Adult Contemporary format and our Country format on a second station.  For example, we have a one hour Christmas program of music that uses material from a famous name that still holds out for our older AM listeners.

However, he feels that there is a need for some variety with newer artists.  Are folks really counting radio down and out for this type of holiday show?  Any leads you have would be welcome.

RSC members, any suggestions?  In a subsequent phone conversation, Roger explained that he'd be interested in hearing about any new holiday music or variety shows that are being offered for stations to air and sell sponsorships for.  Thanks in advance!

I can't speak to any new holiday music shows but I can tell you airing such programming has been very successful for us from a listener and sales standpoint.
