    Hi Guys,

Our Station is celebrating 60 years in Broadcasting. We had some nice stickers made and now we are trying to come up with a promotion. We prefer to create promotions that encourage clients to sign for at least 3 month . Any Ideas???

    Thanks

Gather up some good old Cash to giveaway as well as other things you can get on trade (mp3 players, electronic gadgets, dinner certificates, movies, bowling, etc) Get you're remote vehicle ready... Have you're stickers available at your top clients (some of you're biggest spenders) let listeners know to go to Business A, B, C etc to pick up their free bumpter stickers... put them on their car and once or twice a week when the 'prize machine' is out and the driver (on air talent) spots your car w/ your stations bumper sticker - they win a prize. You can let them 'draw from a hat' and each prize winner can be entered into a bigger prize drawing done at the end of the promotion ( a vacation package or getaway of some sort you get the idea, something huge.. a new ATV and fishing boat, etc) ... or you can have certain days for certain promotions... Movie Mondays, Tech Tuesdays for the latest high tech gadgets, Wacky Wednesdays (comedy club tickets or something like that), Thirsty Thursdays (cash quenches any thirst), etc ... Hope this gives you some ideas !!!

    Thanks!

We did a bumper sticker promotion last year with gas and bumper stickers and sold it to gas stations. If they buy a schedule, we'd come out and do remotes from their location. For people that came to that gas station/convenience store between certain hours and had a bumper sticker on...we would pay for filling their tank of gas. You could do this for 3 months every Friday...We called it Free Gas Fridays - or pick other days if you wanted to do it more!

Or....we are 106.7 and we would go to a gas station that purchased a schedule and invite people with bumper stickers on to come to this location. Again, we'd do a couple of live broadcasts and tell people that if you have a bumper sticker, come to try and fill up your gas tank..with one try..to $10.67 on the nose. You could do this also...If they get it on one try..we would pay $10.67 for their gas!

We apprecitate your input concerning sticker promotions. We like your gas and bumber sticker promotion. Think we might try it 1st quarter of 2010.

    Joel,

I assume the car was the prize. Did you give other prizes?

We did a bumper sticker promotion for our 25th anninversary. We gave away $25,000. The only way that listeners could get a bumper sticker and qualify was to visit us at the Live Action Broadcast that we sold to clients. Upon coming to see us (the day of the broadcast), we would give the listener a bumper sticker and then follow them to their car, watch them put it, and take down their liscense plate number, make and model of the car (this kept the same car from qulaifying more than once)...they were then automatic registered for the $. We then had a giveaway party (sold this as a location sponsor) and crossed off the qualifiers at check in and gave them a ticket (we kept the other ticket and placed it in the box for the drawing)....after everyone was registered (by a certain time of course) we then picked 25 out of the box, from there, we did a reverse raffle....if your ticket number was called, you were eliminated. The person that was emliminated had to draw the next ticket out and so on. Huge turn out and the last three people standing agreed to split the money. The key to this promotion was to make the bumper stickers hard to get.....they had no choice but to come see our clients if they wanted to be qualified. Our clients loved it. This is easily spread out over three months by the time you tease it, hold all the broadcasts, and give the prize away. We sold three months that included a schedule and a live broadcast.
