    Happy Friday, everyone!

This week's question was prompted by a radio ad I heard recently as I was on hold waiting to talk to a client.

It was a commercial for a car wash place, and listeners were invited to come to the business for a free car wash on their birthday.  I thought this was a really nice offer (especially since washing my car is not on my "favorite chores" list) and it got me to thinking:

Which of your clients offer "on your birthday" specials?  And which do you think are the best offers?

Looking forward to reading your replies!

Thru our e-mail clubs we have two clients who offer a special to members on their birthday.  One, a 75-year old home-made candy store, offers a free pound of chocolates. The other, a gift-specialty food-toy store offers a $10.00 gift certificate on the members' birthday. Both get an e-mailed certificate to be redeemed at the store. Lots of promos on the air for the client in addition to their weekly investment.

40th birthday for males...free prostate exam. Wouldn't be that outrageous.

But something similar a while back was a Urologist who offered free vasectomies during March Madness...for men to use as an excuse to stay home and watch the games. True story. And it worked like a charm...
