I know several stations are now allowing credit card payments. I would like to know how you process payments, and you procedure works.
1. Does your sales rep get a CC# from the client, and and the client authorizes payments per signed contract.
2. Do you allow the client to pay online via your website.
3. Is this the best way to insure payment from a potential client.
4. Does this ease the burden by allowing credit card processing for the client, and insures that your station automatically receives payment.
5. Or is it viable for a station to do this payment method.
One year ago we adopted a policy to require all new business to be cash-with-order.
Salespeople get credit card information from clients and on the last day of each month we run the credit cards for the amount of the bill for the next month.
This eliminated the problem of the last day of every month being used to chase collections. We've effectively added one selling day each month....that's 5% more sales calls because we do not waste time collecting.
In today's society people are used to paying for things they buy online IN ADVANCE WITH A CREDIT CARD.
Why not train clients to do the same with their radio advertising?
