Happy Friday, everyone!
This week's poll question was inspired by a post from Jingle Jim Reilly earlier this week, Three Great Classics for Summer Reading.
What's on your reading list this summer?
Looking forward to reading your answers!
"The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Mandino...if you've read it before, read it again. If you've never read it..do so!
Also another re-read for me "Success is a Choice: 10 steps to Overachieving in Business and in Life" by Rick Pitino (basketball coach-LOVE him!) But seriously, it's a good read.
Chris Lytle - The Accidental Sales Manager
Tina Fey - Bossypants
Syd Field - Screenplay (as I continue researching my screenplay idea)
For business related reading I can recommend "Magical Worlds of the Wizard of Ads" by Roy H. Williams. In fact any of his books are worth a re-read. I also picked up "Accidental Magic" by Williams where his students writings are profiled. For fun, quick reads any of the books by Og Mandino. My favorites is "The Greatest Salesman in the World."
For just plain reading I just finished "Attack on Pearl Harbor" which adds a whole new dimension to historic thinking. I also am a great fan of Civil War Literature and can recommend "Retreat From Gettysburg" and many others. Have a fun summer with it all.
My two on the go are:
The No BS Price Strategy - Dan Kennedy... if you are in a price war with your competitors this is an excellent read.
The Greatest Manifestation Principle in the World- the missing secret behind the Law of attraction...
Thanks everyone for the other books
Mike
Summer is a great time to revisit the favorites!
For books "The Greatest Salesman in the World" by Og Mandino.
For Tapes: Zig Ziegler - if you are not familiar with Zig, check this out . . (lots of free stuff)
I'm new this year to radio sales and found a book at the local B&N that really helps! "Sales Mastery" by Chuck Bauer. It's a great read.
Finally ordered "The Accidental Salesperson" and look forward to reading it.
Hope summer is great for everyone.......David
Well I always have a stack of books next to my bed in my "to read pile" sometimes new ones I buy make it to the top of the list first. I should probably ad some of these great ideas for sales books in there.
I just finished re-reading Treasure Island with my son. I'm currently reading The Boylen Inheritance. In the queue is Behind Palace Doors a history of the English monarchy, The Time Traveler's Wife, and another re-read Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon (my favorite author and series Outlander")
