Hi Everyone.....  Well I am stuck for words........ I have done several firework commercials and now find myself... without words.  Does anyone have any ideas for a Fireworks ad - 2 voices - client doesn't mind humor in his ads.  Help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Help listeners envision the pay-off. Couple at the end of their private fireworks show talking about how impressed their guest were, how much fun the kids had, comments like, "that was the most beautiful war zone", "I'm so glad we did this, next year's gonna be even bigger," and, "did you see the kids eyes light up when we lit that,......" I am finding if I write spots that portray the benefits of the product/services of my advertiser, I do a better job motivating others to enjoy the same benefits. This is much preferred to giving a laundry list of features such as inventory,

Example: "So and so fireworks has the Color Peony with Coco Pistil Skyrockets for just $, but don't miss Pyro King's 7 Shot Bourbon Bomb."

None of that moves me, it might make me wonder what one of those would look like, but that's not effective advertising, make me feel the joy of putting on a killler show in my backyard dazzling all my friends and family, Make me the hero. Now I'm interested. Remember, good advertising solves problems. The person for whom it solves problems is the customer/consumer. Write with that primary motive in mind and all you need then is good connective tissue, (effective word selections). Hopefully that helps.
