I've got a three hour, live-remote broadcast with a college bookstore client next week. We thought we were going to be able to host a mini-concert in the parking lot towards the end of the broadcast, but things have fallen through. We're now scrambling to come up with an activity to help garner some additional interest and encourage college students to stop by. We'll have plenty of free giveaways including $500 worth of free textbooks for the next semester, but client wants something fun in addition. An eating contest was their idea and I obviously want to see if I can come up with something stronger than that. Something to register students for - have them participate in and award prizes. Any ideas? Thanks much!

Trivia! Are you dumber than xyz host. We actually bought a whole trivia game show complete with microphones and buzzers. People love it and keeps them engaged.
College - You bet - Free food - Free beer = TOTAL SUCCESS
Good luck.

Minute to Win It! Bring some prizes and use some of the crazy "games" the show does....you can go online and get instructions for different games at http://www.nbc.com/minute-to-win-it/how-to/
Not only is it fun to try to win prizes but it would attract an audience! Good Luck!
Similar idea as Shannon...a battle of the bands, open mic, jam session with a bit of pre-screening (just a bit because you could get some really interesting "talent" out there that could leave the crowd talking for days), or general talent show~

I'm like you. College kids never have enough money so the first thought that came to mind was food certs or discounts to restaurants.
