    Have you tried having one of your stations host a poker tournament? We've done that...works pretty well.

    Sure, Casinos think "everybody" knows how to gamble, and wants to.
    Everyday folks feel out of place in a casino, not knowing what to expect.
    How about a beginner's party? A chance to look around the casino, learn
    how to play the games, how to gamble, etc. Meet the dealers.

    I'm in the music biz, so I think in terms of traffic via music events. But you aren't limited to bringing major acts into big casinos, or even local bands into your bars. My partner and I are in the process of bringing a national three day songwriters event into a casino in our area. There are plenty of other music "convention" type events that small markets could sustain.
