Has anyone had any success stories using linkdin or Facebook to recruit new employees? If so how did you go about doing it?
We have had great success with Craigslist postings. It is the new classified ad source and its FREE (Take that newspapers). We have had 10:1 response versus previous methods used for job openings. Have not really explored Facebook or Linkdin.
We have a station Facebook page that I edit and post station happenings on. We haven't tried to recruit on it yet.
I do have a friend who owns a business and he posts his employment opportunities on Facebook. He has over 2,500 friends/fans. He's gotten quite a few responses. All he does is post the opening information as a status and tells them the title of the job, what the hours are, and how to apply.
