Any helpful tips, information and ideas would be welcome for putting together local golf tournament once a year.
I want to structure the golf tournament as a joint effort put on by my radio stations and the local chamber. My goal here is to get them( the chamber) sold on my golf idea and hopefully (kind of like outsource the busy leg work to the chamber who is staffed and qualified) convince them to take the ball and run with it.( booking country club, raffle tickets for prizes and prizes for winners, set up catering etc etc.)
Then I can concentrate on selling airtime to local business sponsors.
Need some brain picking here though, this is my first rodeo!

Hi Shane - one of our station hosts a charity golf tournament each year - it raises money for our "Christmas Wish" campaign. I have several one sheets that I can send your way that you can use to structure various levels of sponsorship to present to your chamber/local merchants. Car dealer/hole in one sponsorship (with a car as the prize!); a major sponsorship (that includes a team of 4, signage, live endorsements in the morning show, recorded promos); lunch sponsorship; hole sponsorship, etc. If you are interested, just send your email address to me and I'll be happy to forward these one-sheets to you...I just request that you please keep them in your market. My address is [email protected]. This is an awesome fundraiser that has been a pet project of our KZZU morning show for many years. Pam Campbell, KXLY Radio Group, Spokane Washington
Daryl, good point I should pull back a little so it does not become a chamber event but rather station event.
I'm not golfer either never even held club, thanks for the advice.

Please send any paper work you can, I could even use some sales material and media kits to get ideas
