Hi Heidi,
I haven't actually dealt with a small clothing store, but I have approached Salons about doing a "Makeover Madness" Package.
With this package, you could approach clothing stores (and any other female gender-specific businesses) to get on board to contribute to the package or the "Grand Prize"! (Think Jewellery Stores, Theatre, Salons/Spa's GYM's etc)
You could come up with a fun title and advertise it on your station's website for the duration of the client's campaign.
Listeners can either be sent into your participating locations or to your website to sign up to win a MAKEOVER with an outfit from your small clothing store, and maybe a mani-pedi and hair day at a salon! (There is so much you can do with this)
This would actually help you get other NEW small businesses to advertise that might not normally. You can draw the winner at the end, and maybe get a fun 'before and after' taken to post on your website or in the store's location.
Just an idea

Thanks Jen, that's a GREAT idea..and because our stations skew female anyhow..shouldn't be too difficult to work something our with our promotions director on this!! Thanks for the input!

How about a closet makeover ...... enter to win, live remote with $XXX worth of new clothing? Could be a friend intervention thing with pics of old clothes styles, etc.
