I am looking for rates being charged for clients logos put on station websites as well as hotlinks from your station website to a clients website... and if anyone is doing video commercials for clients on their station website and the rates .

Hey Leslie! Rates on station's websites varies based on the impressions and pageviews on that site. I've seen rates as low as $500 per month up to $1500 per month ... but again it depends on the stats of site. Hope this helps you out.

Leslie, www.seguintoday.com. Look for the rates and ad examples on the right side of the page, and you can see how we integrate them on the site. No video ads yet, but they're coming soon.

We just went through a re-build of our website, www.hometowndailynews.com. We looked at our competitors (newspaper, TV, etc.) to determine their cost per thousand and priced ours accordingly. It came out to about $9 per thousand. We charge anywhere from $225 per week to $15 per week. During the re-build we did two major things: We went to what's considered standard ad sizes in the in industry. This gives us credibility in the web world. We also made sure we had plenty of inventory with different size ads at different price points.

Hi Leslie. We are doing video ads for websites. A :15 with VO is $200. A 2.5 minute presentation is $1,000. Let me know if we can help! Marshall "Cole Portato" Such Samples from each: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emnMLV9mYbY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKzL4XZ1giI

    Leslie,

We have packaged website logo/link and a 2-3 min video and facebook/twitter promotion (for the video on our site) for a range of $500-$750 per month. We use video on our facebook pages with links FROM their website. We get more hits and they get a great "viral" feeling campaign. feel free to message me for a copy of my one sheet for this promotion.

Hi Leslie, I don't know your market size, but regardless, my advice is, Keep it simple. Pick two or three IAB-standard sizes (http://www.iab.net/iab_products_and_industry_services/508676/508767/Ad_Unit) and make sure they're integrated into your website. Offer "ROS" (run of site) plans, where an ad appears, or rotates through, all your pages. Set up page sponsorships for affinity clients - e.g., funeral home for the obits page, etc. Avoid cherry-picking - it limits your revenue and the client's exposure. Pricing, as you've seen from other responses, is all over the place. It depends on the perceived value of online advertising in your market. Whatever that is, you can charge more because radio is so effective in driving online traffic. Video is great; you can use YouTube - it's free and easy, but can leach visitors from your site - or a service like AMFMVideo, that is free, a liitle more involved to set up, and keeps visitors on your site. Pricing? More than your local cable operation ... but with limited inventory. There is so much to say on this subject, but I'll leave you with this: avoid discussions about statistics! Here's why: 1. Live by stats, die by stats. 2. They turn a relationship into a transaction. 3. They are widely misunderstood by both buyer and seller. (Your "hits" can be a huge number, but if you know what a "hit" is, you'll know why they're irrelevant. For self defense, check out http://onlinebusiness.about.com/od/onlinebusiness101/tp/online-business-glossary.htm.) 4. Web stats are far easier to manipulate than you think. 5. As with radio ratings, web stats have little bearing on your ability to get people to the advertiser's door, primed and ready. Good luck! Jay

    Jay:

I couldn't agree more with the ROS concept for the web. Do you do this manually or with a software program?
