CRMs and how you use them

How do you utilize your company's CRM?  How much of the data it collects and stores is really relevant?  What CRMS do you use and does anybody use RAB's CRM?

i use the Prophet CRM from Avidian for my sales staff...i think these are essential....most sales organizations have them and it seems like Radio has lagged behind. I use mine to create account lists, send personalized mass emails to over 1,500 clients with one click, print address labels to send sales pieces and holiday cards to clients, it helps reps with follow up and organization and makes everyone accountable.....Prophet isn't without it's faults...so if anyone has a better one, i'd love to hear about it!

Hi Matt- Since I am with the RAB, yes, I am a proponent of ours since it comes bundled with our proposal writing software and gives you instatnt "one touch" access to specific category research! Use is different for everyone. Any CRM should save you time, give you access to past actions and make sure you stay reminded of future activities. Ours does for just $50 a month for the 1st 5 sellers and $5 per seller per month after that (for RAB members). For a full demo, please contact Dave Casper at dcasper@rab.com.

MediaSFM is a great tool for managing media sales because it is EASY for account executives and EASIER for managers to know exactly what is going on with each account executive and their market as a whole, or the entire company. MediaSFM - Sales Force Management (SFM) software combines all the benefits Customer Relationship Managment (CRM) and Sales Force Automation (SFA) into one software tool that everyone in your organization can easily use! Giving your sales reps more time to do what they do best, SELL! It also gives your sales managers a holistic view into each account and sales rep. Sales managers become much more proactive instead of reactive to sales reps, they spend more time coaching their sales reps rather than constantly wondering what is going on, have they pitched this promo or product to this account? They can easily see which promo or product accounts are being pitched at any time!

We use influence FM and all the data collected is relevant as long as the sales rep is honest. influence FM does a great job at automating the sales force and pointing out anomalies. We can now weed out a bad salesperson in about 4 days. We hire slower and fire faster now.
