I got this in an email this morning from our Dave Ramsey Show sales newsletter, but it really applies to all sales in general. I wanted to share it with you all:

"Recently, we came across some incredible sales stats that nationally known speaker Jack Daly posted in his newsletter, The Daly News:

    • 48% of salespeople never follow up with a prospect
    • 25% of salespeople make a second contact and stop
    • 12% of salespeople only make three contacts and stop
    • Only 10% of salespeople make more than three contacts
    • 2% of sales are made on first contact
    • 3% of sales are made on second contact
    • 5% of sales are made on third contact
    • 10% of sales are made on fourth contact
    • 80% of sales are made on fifth to twelfth contact

Folks, this is when you decide—are you a seller or an order taker? If you're a seller and you're proud of what you're selling, then you can sell in a recession! When you believe in what you're selling, people hear it in your voice. They can see it in your body language. It all comes down to attitude. "I believe in this product so much that I'm not going to accept no for an answer—even if it means I call on someone 12 times before I make the sale!"

Wishing you all the best, GET OUT THERE AND FIND YOUR CHEESE,

    Best regards,

    Marissa
