I have a client that does everything related to eyes, ears, noses and throats. Think all the doctor aspects plus glasses and hearing aids. Recently, they added plastic surgery and all kinds of skin care and procedures (botox and such). I am looking for great ideas to help them grow their business.

    Julie,
I was vacationing last year in Florida and clipped a print ad that would be great for a plastic surgeon client. The ad is a picture of a woman and the headline says
“He was only my husband for awhile, but he’ll be my dentist forever”. –Cheryl Troxel, ex wife…..

A testimonial ad from his ex-wife…..and at the end of the ad it says, “I still travel to the Keys whenever I need dental work, I even brought him a new patient, my new husband.”
So if your plastic surgeon has an ex…..this would be a perfect ad idea.

Thanks Julie - I wish he did. I will keep that in my tool box for later.

Cause marketing is always a plus when working with anything health care related. Obviously one campaign cannot focus on all of the areas of expertise in their practice, so when you find the one that makes them the most money that most closely matches your stations demographics, find a awareness/prevention/donation opportunity for them to give back (they LOVE to help people, that's why they are doctors).
One good one might be a sunglasses campaign for children. Research has proven (and you can probably back this up on RAB.COM) that sunglasses are just as important for your eyes as sunscreen is for your skin in fighting off sun damage and some cancers. You could do a variety of van hits to collect sunglasses for children new/gently used. Then do a kid friendly day with face painting, fake tattoos, etc. and pass out the sunglasses to families who cannot afford to buy sunglasses for their children. In your promos you can highlight the need to get sunglasses and where those who can afford them can buy them (your client). Just a thought. Send me a note if you have any further questions...I might even have a proposal for something like this that I have done before....
