We did a promotion called Holiday Heroes. We partnered with a local grocery store and we packaged 365 bags of groceries with staple food items and kid friendly food. We sold sponsorships for 200 bucks each, we got 11 sponsors and made t shirts that said "holiday heroes" on them with all the sponsor names.all of our sales team and all of our air staff from all three stations wore our tshirts and We then broadcasted live all day on the 19th of this month from the grocery store and sold that bags for 20 dollars each. We had the idaho foodbank truck there and we loaded each bag into the truck, then we ditributed the food today from the salvation army parking lot. We fed over 300 families in our area, and made a HUGE impact on the community. The local news station came and did a story, and the local paper as well. It was a huge success.. I will gain an annual contract from the supermarket, and our stations have made themselves even more involved with the community.

I love this idea. I live in a town of 7000 people and am thinking of a way I can borrow this plan for a March promotion. Food Drive idea. hmmmm
