Happy Friday, everyone! This week's poll question was prompted by Dick Taylor's most recent blog post, Now That's Selling! (h/t to Tom Taylor Now for featuring this blog). In this post, Dick Taylor recounts three stories of radio sales reps who sold advertising to clients who were initially inclined to say "No."
So we'd like to hear from you:
What's your favorite story about overcoming the objections of a prospect who wasn't interested in buying radio advertising?
Looking forward to reading your replies!
A local grocery chain would not buy me because their L.A. buying service only bought "numbers". I paid a visit to the chain's main office and discovered that the lobby was a museum dedicated to Medal of Honor recipients. I proposed and sold the GBS Memorial Day series for $3000 and got it. Just that simple.
Moral: Keep your eyes open. The answers are there.
