We do "The Ride of Your Life" Promotion and it brings in somewhere around $50,000 in advertising over 3 months. We team up with the local Harley Davidson and trade out a Sportster for around $8000. The only way listeners can qualify to win is by going to one of 3 remotes that we hold each week from the end of April to Mid June. We normally get somewhere from 80-150 listeners that will show up for each remote. The remotes are scheduled on Wednesday from 4-6P, Friday from 4-6P and Saturday from nnon-2P. Our station that puts on the event is 104.9 The Eagle (Classic Rock). We hold the finals at the Harley Davidson Dealership. We qualify 3-4 listeners at the end of each remote broadcast and they move on to the finals. Each qualifier can bring 3 guests with them to the finals. We trade out with the local Texas Roadhouse dinner, Put up a huge tent and bottled water from one of the local water companies. We usually have 400 people show that day. All of the qualifiers invites go into the final drawing box and we do a reverse raffle. A dealership representitive will draw out the first name and that qualifier will draw out the next name until we get to the last 5 standing. At that point we go Live on air until we get the winner. This is a great promotion. i have attached the proposal so you can see the different levels of sponsorship. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 419-331-1600.

Our most successful promotion is our Spring Expo held each year in April on a Saturday and Sunday. We rent the fairgrounds and sell booth space with ads. The majority of these vendors come from outside our market..which means new money! This year we gave away a front load washer and dryer duet. Attendees register at our booth all weekend and must be present to win on Sunday during the drawing. A lot of our vendors say they get enough contacts during the Expo to keep them busy all year long.

We're a country music station and celebrate Country Music Month by featuring different artists every day. Listeners can call in, answer a trivia question and win a CD.

This year we decided to open it up for sponsors. A business was able to sponsor different days. We had business owners competing for days featuring their favorite country artist or targeting a giveaway day because that artist attracted a certain demo.

We sold out all of our days and then people signed on to be sponsors of Country Music Month even though they didn't get a contesting day.

102.7 WBOW has been the promotions leader in the group this year with 3 hugely successful promotions, each in their own way. It all started with the relaunch of the station March 13th which caused a big stir in the market and listening area...that was followed by year 2 of Wabash Valley Idol which exploded exploded wbowfm.com with the online voting for finalists...and in November, the debut of Wabash Valley's Got Talent replicated WV Idol's online explosion, filled an historic downtown theatre for the finale, and made everyone smile financially. Success came due to the incredible dedication to all 3 events by 102.7 WBOW PD of many hats, Adam Michaels and a team effort by the entire station group's staff............................................
