Happy Friday, everyone!
Here is this week's poll question:
What do you consider to be the top 3 traits of the “ideal advertising client”?
Looking forward to reading your replies!
1. Listen to me. I know what works and what doesn't.
2. Be consistent. Most clients should advertise constantly, not all, but most.
3. Willing to invest. Advertising isn't cheap, but it does have a very good "ROI", it's worth the investment. What other investment pays $25-$100 per dollar invested.
1. Great listener, good communicator
2. Willingness to try something new, a risk taker
3. Logical, analytical (v. anecdotal, emotional) - it's great to talk with clients who keep pacing reports, track specific merchandise and pricing, follow what's trending in their business category, keep an eye and ear to customer reviews and feedback, et al. These people are easier to plan with - especially long term - and to create platforms with for copy and campaigns.
1. Patience to allow time for their advertising to work.
2. Understanding that their radio advertising will positively impact the results they are getting from other advertising (direct mail, social media, SEO, etc). In other words, don't dump radio because you are suddenly getting great results from your direct mail piece. We are the reason you are getting better results.
3. Understanding of the importance of the messaging, and trust in our creative strategy. Advertisiers are always very concerned about reaching the right people and tend to completely overlook the importance to speaking a relevant message to them.
1. Willing to make the investment required to get results. This includes money, time, and involvement in the process to set up and follow through.
2. Key Marketing Challenge that they need help with. This includes a)Having a problem/need b)Knowledge of ideal customers needed to reach c)Setting up realistic goals and expectations D)Urgency to act
3. Someone that I would personally trust and recommend to others.
1.) Want To Grow
2.) Willing To Try Something Different
3.) Have Capacity To Make It Work
