Happy Friday, everyone!
In the past couple of weeks, I've come across two webinars and one blog that discussed the virtues of LinkedIn as a networking and sales tool. This made me curious to know:
Are you on LinkedIn? If so, do you find that it's a useful sales or networking tool, and how do you utilize it?
Looking forward to reading your replies!
I am ABSOLUTELY on LinkedIn. It is a great way to ask for appointments, in fact, the sellers I work with are given a LinkedIn script that helps them get appointments. If anyone wants it, send me an email.
Yes! Great way to make contacts, get introductions to people and more.
YES, I use LinkedIn try to post at least 3 times a week and marketing trend/ demographic shift or something related that I find interesting. I am already doing the research as part of my weekly "seeding" emails and handouts. Using the search bar, it is a CRITICAL part of my pre-call research. Where did they go to college? Work history...I have found business partners that I wasn't told existed, decision makers, agencies and contacts both locally and regionally.

Also we have created a Powell Broadcast of Panama City Facebook page. We post marketing trends and follow local businesses, then at least one a week look on the client timeline to find out weekly or other specials , what events in the community do they support? PLEASE REVIEW and LIKE our page at https://www.facebook.com/PowelBroadcastingPC/
Yes, i have used it for years. I am a member of various groups that I want to stay connected to and I will check it daily. I also share my own articles at least once a week. You can connect with me at https://www.linkedin.com/in/scotthowardakascloho
Currently I have 2200 contacts and welcome more.
Nope. No value for me.
I ignore it completely.
I use email to correspond and send proposals and I troll Facebook for new ideas and potential clients. Other than that I use the phone or go out and meet people face to face. LinkedIn is like those "lead" clubs. They make you feel good but they generate nothing.
Sooner or later any good salesman has to shut down the computer and get out into the real world.
