I have two antiques and collectible accounts and one quality auction house who are wed to trade publications and local print. Anyone had any success in these catagories?
Yes! I did a promotion where we had someone doing a Antiques Road show event. People came to get their stuff appraised. Did it with the local mall and had 300 people show up. Copy made refererence to the show. Ran a campagin in one week 60 commercials split up on two radio shows. Very Successful!
Create and Antique and Collectables Fair and invite antique stores to invest equally.
It can eventually grow into a street fair with additional vendors.
Mimic the Antiques Road Show with local appraisers of various types of collectables (coins; magazines; art; furniture; misc.) Invite the public to bring up to three items for valuation.
