Friday Poll: What Are Your Top Five Revenue Categories?

    Happy Friday, everyone!

    A recent Radio Ink Magazine article highlighted the top five revenue categories for radio nationwide:

    1. Automotive
    2. Professional services
    3. Healthcare
    4. Financial services
    5. Cellular communications/public utilities

    So for this week's poll question, we'd like to know:

    What are the top five revenue categories for your radio station?

    Our Top Five at Paul Bunyan Broadcasting HBI are pretty close to the nationwide list:  

    1) Automotive

    2) Banks/Financial Services

    3) Healthcare

    4) Cable/Cellular/Telecommunications

    5) Casinos/Entertainment

    We are very weak in the Professional Services category. If anybody can give us some help there, it wouuld be appreciated.

    Given we're generally not the largest station in the our markets, we tend to buck the larger trends. In our local market, our top five are:
    1. Home services
    2. Christian Colleges
    3. Auto sales / Repair
    4. Retail (local)
    5. Legal

    Here at KCAA banks are $0 but the local Indian Casinos are a strong #2.
