My brainstorming brain is fried today, so I come to you for ideas.
Our station has use of our beautiful local historic theatre to use for a kids movie night in November. Does anyone have any ideas for turning this into a sales promotion, or packages that you may have used in the past that were successful?

Definitely! Create a list of family oriented businesses. Design sponsorship packages for them that include a commercial schedule, mention in the event promos, possibly booths on site at the events or handouts to attendees. Then include ticket stops at their location where you give away tickets to the movie.

It's similar to this in the way of sponsorships but the movie night will be free to the public and the big draw is that we'll have kids from the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter write us letters about their experience with BBBS. All letters will be on display on our website but we'll pick the top 3 and these kids will be able to read their stories on stage before the movie starts, and receive a prize basket from our sponsors, handed over by the DJ on stage.
