    Karen-

Are you looking for a "quick flight" idea or something grand to close the dealer for an annual contract?

I have an annual contract with them already, but they look to me every month to come up with a new idea and write their scripts. Therefore, I am in constant search for new ones! It is really hard and I can't get them to stick with a branding type ad, especially now that they receive a little coop. I have thought about for a Sunday ad, to have him talk about coming by the lot and looking around with no salespeople there...then check them out online...type of commercial. But will still need to come up with new monthly promotions.

Try to target the commercials to match their audience. Winter is coming make the spots speak to those potential buyers looking for a SUV for winter driving. Spring for rainy driving and summer for vacations. Make the spots real. like a mom having to drive the kids in the bad weather or a dad wondering where he will put all that luggage for the family vacation.

Ford announced a very tidy profit this week - and is also being recognized for having several cars/trucks in the top 10 rankings for consumer satisfaction. All this without a nickle in taxpayer's 'bail out' money.

Why not go with creative that builds on that? It's good, old-fashioned hard work, quality product, etc....and the company is standing on its own and making money! I can see it resonating with anyone who'se getting tired of government bail-outs and CEO's getting huge bonuses while their companies fail......

(Just repeating some 'coffee shop' talk that I overheard a couple of times this week.....)

Re: Your 'Sunday Browsing' idea - we have a GM dealer who did that sort of campaign a few times. He carried it through in one instance by printing up option sheets for each car, then adding a specific salesperson's photo and phone number, ensuring that they were distributed evenly across the lot. "Call Bob Smith at 123-4567 Monday to talk about your trade and financing options." sort of thing.... worked quite well.
