We have a client looking to give away $2,500 in Mall Dollars in the 5 weeks leading up to Christmas (December 18th or so.) Does anyone have any really unique promotions for an A/C station?

I don't have all the details because unfortunately I wasn't with the station at the time but a while back we did a Mall Dollars promotion where we did a remote broadcast and called it a .69 cent dollar. At the broadcast booth shoppers would buy 69 cent dollars and use them in participating retailers in the mall. Basically another way to have a 30% off sale but it was a unique and creative way to say it, and it was a great success.

Thanks Jon! We actually do it in one of our markets - we pay a third-party company who has a Canadian copyright on the .69 Cent Dollar, but in that market we sell it to clients throughout the city. Adapting it to a Mall in this market makes sense... I'll pass the idea on to the rep.
