    Hello all,

This post is in behalf of a member who wishes to remain anonymous.  "Mr. Smith" is considering a job with a Cumulus cluster and would like to hear from those who have worked there.  What can you tell this member about Cumulus' company culture, pay structure, and reputation?

If anyone does not feel comfortable posting here, in a public forum, you are welcome to email me directly at [email protected], and I will forward your replies (either with your name or anonymously, according to your preference) to the member who's looking for the information.

    Thank you!

I used to work for a Cumulus cluster in North Florida as an intern. The reputation was well known throughout the city and as a college student, it was the ultimate gig. It made me pretty popular amongst my peers and it definitely helped keep a few dollars in my pocket. I wish I could tell you what it was like to work for them as a sales rep, but all I can do is tell you from the perspective of my former co-worker....

He started out as a well known  DJ in the area (and on air), yet he ended up making his way to the sales department because of the extended opportunity for monetary growth. He is doing pretty well as a sales rep and he often asks the question, "what took me so long to come to this side?"

I will say that Cumulus does offer growth opportunity....After working there as an intern for about a year, I was promoted to basically do the same thing (remotes), except I was paid $12.50 an hour. As a college student, that was pretty decent money! They also gave me the opportunity to learn every department and gain a little experience in various areas such as sales and production.

Overall, the company was a great experience for me. I hope this was helpful for you!
