Happy Friday, everyone!
Here is this week's poll question;
Who is the most interesting or unusual advertising client you've had (or currently have) on the air?
Looking forward to reading your replies!
KUSH radio has a naturist park that has recently started advertising with us. I am not talking about outdoor naturist either. This is a clothing optional facility. We recently did a live remote from there as well for their 5K run. We had a blast!
I think our most interesting client is Danny Kleinsasser from "Danny's Whole Hog BBQ and Smokehouse" he is a former member of a Hutterite colony and started this business with his family.
Danny is also an avid CFL fan .. Winnipeg Blue Bombers in particular, and has opened a restaurant in Winnipeg with the former Quarterback for the Bombers - Buck Pierce. He also uses him to help sell his specialty BBQ sauces.
He loves to voice his own commercials ... they ALWAYS stand out ... his voice and accent are very unique.
Wow . . . so was clothing optional for the 5K run? That would certainly make a live remote interesting!
Marge, that is a neat story! Do you have a commercial or two that you could post here? Would love to hear them!
Yes, clothing is optional although most about 99% opted for no clothing. They liked us so much, they want us to come do another remote. Here is a copy of the commercial we did.
Very nice ad, Joyce! I have to admit, though, that line about enjoying the park in all its glory . . . in all your glory, gave me a chuckle. Thanks for sharing!
Here is one of the commercials we used for May ... it's promoting the Catering side of the business.
Listening to Joyce's spot, a straightforward execution sprinkled with a couple of cute lines ("all its glory...all your glory"), one can't help but wonder what might happen if the client were to let his or her hair down (so to speak) and take an extreme comedic approach to the subject.
For instance, I'm reminded of the spots that were created a few years back for the Eagle, ID Volunteer Firefighters' annual fundraiser - examples attached below.
Anyone else here tackled a project like this?
That is great, Marge! I love his accent, and that ad is making me hungry, LOL. Thanks for sharing!
