It's the perfect time to start connecting with our local tax professionals. Does anyone have some rookie advice on how to deal with accountants and/or tax preparers?
You're probably a couple months late to the party now. You want to talk to them in November and advertise Jan 15 - Apr 15.
GBS has a good series of Tax Tip Donuts to look at for an idea.
Thanks for your recommendation, Tyler - appreciate it!
The demo is available here - it does make for a quick sell, and I've got several clients working on it as we speak.
Joe,
My CPA also happens to be a client of mine. She voices her own Tax Tips every year. (I also hire her to review and approve the copy for our annual Ten Top Tax Tips radio features, which people have found quite easy to sell to local tax preparers, financial planners, and accounting firms.)
She came up with a great positioner that she uses as the tagline to all her spots: "I'm here to make your life a little less...taxing."
I'll upload a sample below.
Thanks, Tyler. Yeah, I realize I'm a bit late to the party. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail. haha
I definitely need to plan ahead more, instead of playing catch-up. I guess that kind of forward-thinking comes with experience. I appreciate the advice.
Very nice, Rod. It's a great ad. I'll be sure to pitch the idea of my clients offering tax tips in their spots.
On a side-note, the link to your features isn't working right now, but I'm guessing it's supposed to link to the same page Rebecca posted.
My local Jackson Hewitt office was kind enough to explain his calendar to me in great detail. Here are the spots we did for him if they might spark an idea for you.
Fixed the link - thanks!
