A client asked me for help by jump starting his car. I did and he was on his way.
I once stayed at a clients office to answer phones for 15 minutes while he ran to the post office. When he came back I told him I signed him up for a bunch of stuff while "I was in charge"... we had a good laugh!
Not sure how outrageous that was... but it was fun!
A tavern just outside of city limits asked us to do an 'on location' remote Friday night from a Jell-o wrestling contest that involved a dozen young 'ladies' who were travelling from town to town in an old bus. We declinled, much to the disappointment of several of our young announcers (one had offered to work the remote for free, dedicated lad that he was).
The station received a call with a gentleman requesting to advertise "old steel tractors and toys, I want them for free" after requesting more information to compose an ad, the gentleman said "never mind sweetie, just wanted to see if I could by radio for advertising old tractors and steel toys!" He has continued to call with bizarre requests. "can I advertise sled rides? my dog loves to give sled rides...kids love sled rides and dogs..maybe I could advertise this and make some money"
AND YES, these situations call for another cup of coffee!

I have had clients ask for what amounted to double billing to scam a co-op deal. It is, of course, very illegal.
I was once asked by a new client for a live on-site broadcast from the grand opening of their FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORIUM! Not much you can talk about at a funeral home, right? It was very interesting...and I learned a lot about what not to ask my client when we are on the air.
I've done a remote from a funeral home and there is a lot to talk about if you have competent people to talk to
Back in 2001 I started my consulting business. Back then I started with leading team and leadership training. I was very excited as I prepared for my first program, an evening workshop for a group of about 25 people. About 20 minutes before the workshop was to start my sponsor pulled me aside to ask me a question. He asked, "would it be okay if a bellydancer came in as a surprise for one of the team members birthday before we start the program." What was I to say, NO of course not, but not having seen belly dancers I did have to ask, will she be keeping her clothes on?
Well I must say it did shake things up a bit and needless to say my ice breaker was no longer needed.
