Looking to work into training, some models for effective time management that people may have used?
Who has some thoughts?
Thanks!
I got a smart phone a while back... it is an "android" style with Google built in.
I reluctantly set up a gmail account... but now I LOVE it! I use it like "microsoft outlook" and have ALL of my accounts pour into it. That way I can check (and reply to) emails from my phone... I often do this while waiting for a client. I also use their FREE calendar (also built into my phone) and it is tied into the calendar on my computer.
When I talk to a client... I go out to my car and tell my calendar what I need to do next (type in "CNA appointment at Mike's on Monday at 2pm") then my calendar keeps me on track! AWESOME!!!!
I then just hit "edit" on that event and put the next date and time and it moves to the right place to remind me.
I use it from my computer too.... I'll call a pile of prospects... they say "call me in January" so I make a note on the calendar, with their phone number, name and a note that says "in August you said this would be a great time to re-connect... so I wanted to see if Tuesday would be a good day to get together" AMAZING!!!!
This is all FREE from Google.... your gmail can be anything... then you set it up to have all of your emails go into it. When you reply... you reply from the email address they sent it to!
You'll love it!!
Check out Chris Rolando's Crawl walk run series. Its great for time management.

For me, the best time saver is to complete everything for a client at one time. Contract, schedule, and first three messages. While everything is fresh on my mind I get the best results.
Hi Kevin. I was taught to look at my activity as falling into one of the quadrants below. I have filled this out for a Sales Managers activity but it can be used for anyone. You want to find time in quadrant two (important/non-urgent) as it will put you in more control of your time, but many times quadrant 1 will take us over if we let it. We all have activity in each quadrant but we do have a choice in the portions. It is a great exercise to use in a group or one on one. Have your students discuss or complete what goes in the quadrants. It's also good to pass around the office and see where people are spending their time currently.
Time management is really management of activity, not time. If you want more details feel free to reach out.
