My best resource is the owner/manager of the business. The RAB list is sometimes outdated and had wrong information. And if the coop is being managed by a company like Shared Marketing, you might not get very far. And there are lots of programs out there that are run through the local manufacturer or distribution company. What has worked best for me is to sit down with the decision maker and ask him which company's he/she does business with and ask for a sales/contact number and his permission to nose around. Helps tremendously if you can get them to sign a release too. Some coop depts wont release any info unless they know the owner is on board. Do the extra work though and coop can pay off big time!
