Happy Friday, everyone!
Here is this week's poll question;
What sales contests or spiffs do you provide to motivate your sales team?
Looking forward to reading your replies!
GREAT question! I am excited to hear some fun ideas!

I'm interested in this also. I know some media properties (not radio) do this to spur sales of certain products.
Gas cards! If we beat last year's quarter, the gas cards start at $100 and keep going up based on our success. The sales team loves them for obvious reasons.

The timing of this week's poll question is so ironic. I just implemented a new sales contest for my team, this past week, called "Grab For Cash". We have a portable cash box at the station, that we use for station remotes and events. Essentially what I created, was a fun, interactive game with the sales reps. I'm going to place $300 of my own personal money in the cash box and each rep will have a chance to "Grab For Cash". For every $2,000 they turn in, they'll earn 1 second in the cash box. They get an extra 5 seconds for annual contracts. This contest will take place over a 6 week period, and the rep that has accrued the most amount of time, will go in the cash box first. Each one will get a chance to "Grab For Cash" and walk away with cold hard cash for their hard work. For those of you who have seen, or have a cash box, you know first hand how funny it is to see grown adults grasping for air, to grab as much cash as they can get their hands on. The reps are excited about it and are always checking to see how much time they, and their peers, have earned.
Hope this idea helps.
whatever you do....reward the reps in front of the all the reps #1 EVERYONE loves public recognition (we all have egos) and #2 - noone wants to be the rep that does NOT get recognized week after week....this works great! we highlight successes in group sales meetings and have reps pick prizes and/or cash off a money tree....i don't care if the rep is making $300k...everyone loves a gift card or a little cash in the pocket AND recognition in front of their peirs..
