I am wanting to raise money for a local public school's music program. Wondering if anyone has done anything in the past that has been effective? Corporate companies are swamped with charity proposals so I need to find a unique idea that will make them want to take part. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

We are helping a Mud Jam October 20, 2012 to help raise money for the local public school's music programs of Hesperia California. Their website is www.mudjam.org maybe you can get ideas from there. It's a 5k mud run and music fest.

Thanks for the reply Debby and Rebecca. I would love to do a mini version of tough mudder course type event but being on a small caribbean island it just isnt possible due to the landscape and there are many 5k runs for charity.
