Good morning fellow cafer's. I have an Chrysler Dealer who is adding Jeep to their line up. Does anyone have any suggestions or success stories about how to kick this product addition off with a real bang!!
Fred, I don't know if something like this would be practical, but here in Pullman, for one of the WSU football games last season (it might have been for the Armed Forces weekend or maybe Dad's weekend), the local Jeep dealership set up a cool-looking obstacle/rough terrain course in front of the stadium, complete with a DJ, a stage, and speakers with rock music blaring. There were at least three or four vehicles being driven over the course simultaneously, and I think that in addition to giving people rides over the course, the Jeep dealership was giving away promotional items (water bottles, etc.). The event was definitely an attention-getter for the football crowd and other passersby.
Hey Fred..... Got one for you. We've done this every year for several years... and it's a great one.
Give away his and her jeeps,,, not as complicated as it sounds man.. It revolved around the OHL Hockey Team here... but the concept could be tailored to fit a smaller time frame or a longer one. There are a few partners... an insurance company against the odds, the car dealer with a buy in, and a staging partner with a venue. I've attached our promo file on the premise and execution..... feel free to email me if you have any questions man.. and good luck. Th promotions department and programming have to buy in as well.
Hi Fred - Lee Iacocca helped turn Chrysler around by putting his name on the products. Ergo, the same for Jeep customers in that putting their name and testimony about Jeep products will help launch that product line for your dealer. I'd air an ad that says:
"Attention all Jeep and former Jeep drivers. Do you love your Jeep? We'd like to make you famous and give you a certificate for dinner for two at "XYZ" if you'd like to talk about your Jeep experience on the radio."
or
"Attention anyone who knows a Jeep driver or former Jeep driver. We want to talk to people who love their Jeeps! I'm Bob Smith of Bob Smith Chrysler. We've just added Jeep to our lineup, and we'd like to donate $100 to your favourite charity if you talk about your Jeep experiences on the radio. You don't have to have a radio voice - it could be (imitate) high and squeaky or (imitate) low and gravelly (e.g. Patty and Selma on the Simpsons). It doesn't matter. We just want to hear your Jeep stories and your passion for the Jeep. Drop me an email - [email protected], and tell me why you love your jeep."
