Welcome to Radio Sales Café!
With all the changes taking place in radio and the recent boom in social networking, we wanted to provide you with a place where you can meet other members of the radio advertising sales community, discuss local trends in sales and marketing, share ideas for increasing ad sales, ask questions, address problems, and brainstorm for solutions.
Here's a quick overview of the site, going through the tabs at the top from left to right:
Main -- This is the homepage, where you can view the current membership list, see the latest site activity, post a discussion in the forums, read our owner's blog "RodSpots," and take a look at upcoming sales and promotion opportunities.
Invite -- If you have friends or colleagues in radio advertising sales, here's where you can send them an invitation to join Radio Sales Café. We're open 24/7, and membership is absolutely free!
My Page -- This is your personal RSC webpage, which you can customize by adding text, .mp3's (under "My Music"), videos, photos, even widgets. Share your latest success story or an ad that's getting good results for a client . . . post pictures from your remotes and other promotions . . . share websites and articles that you like. You can keep a blog, add friends, send and receive mail, and more.
Members -- View a list of your fellow members here. See who's online and make new friends! (Note: at the bottom of the RSC webpages, there's a toolbar that shows how many members are currently online. You can click the buttons on this bar to chat with other members and to change your status from online to offline.)
Discussions -- This is the place for, well, discussions. Post here if you have a great idea for a promotion, have an advertising question for other sales professionals, are looking for ideas to help a particular client, want to discuss industry news and trends, or want to share helpful sales resources (links to newsletters, articles, websites, etc.).
Revenue Opportunities -- We'll be keeping this calendar updated with events that make for great promotions and/or radio sales campaigns. If you know of such an event, we'd appreciate it if you would post the information here. Thank you!
Emails -- If you're not already receiving the weekly RSC newsletter, you're probably not getting notices about free webinars and other promotions either. Let's remedy that now.
That's about it. So, grab a cup of coffee and feel free to explore, read, post, and discuss. And remember, this site is all about YOU. Please tell us what you like and what you don’t like. Let us know about features that we should change or add. We want to make this site a useful and beneficial resource for you, and we can't do that without your input!
